Why blog?

I've successfully avoided "blogging" for a few years now. I always told myself I didn't have time to update a blog and I really wasn't interested in sharing my thoughts. Recently, though, I read a book that changed my perspective. The book is called a Million Miles in a Thousand Years by Donald Miller. And it was excellent. Miller talks about the importance of story in our lives, and how every choice we make adds a chapter in the book that is our life. Some of us choose to live good, exciting stories, while others end up settling and live a story they're not proud of. The book made me pause and think about the story I am living now and also made me curious about how my friends and family are living, and the adventures they are pursuing. I thought a blog would be a perfect way for me to share my story so far with others and also to hear about their journeys.

I will probably write about my random thoughts and college hoops most of the time. Simon Cowell once said "If you've got a big mouth and you're controversial, you're going to get attention." I like attention, I think. I'm more interested in hearing what others have to say though. I've never used this thing before, so please add me and lets enjoy conversations about life and the stories we're living.
